Ultrasound Number Two

We left for the Marshfield Clinic this morning at 5:45 am.  We were actually on time for this appointment!  After arriving at the clinic at a little after 7:00, April was taken to be prepped for the Ultrasound.  They said that they would call me in when the technician was ready to begin.  I had to laugh when I got into the exam room and saw April laying on the bed with the blue and white checked hospital gown, bare shins, and muddied-up hiking boots!  The doctor said that she was supposed to keep her socks and shoes on!

It is absolutely amazing to see all the changes that have happened since we had our first Ultrasound!

We were able to count five fingers on both hands.  For a few seconds, the baby gave us a great thumbs-up!

Both the doctor and our midwife were pleased with what they saw in the pictures.  They said that everything is looking good and that there aren’t any things to be concerned about.  We continue to entrust this tiny life into the Lord’s hands.

Green Bay

This weekend I was able to spend some time with my family in Green Bay.  My sister, brother-in-law and their 3 kids came to visit as well.  We all enjoyed doing a little bit of geocaching in the beginning of the week.  Logan (my five year old nephew) thought it was great to look for hidden treasures!

We were also blessed with our first baby gift!  Mom and dad bought us a nice baby jogging stroller.  It is so exciting to start getting things here and there.  It is really starting to make it real that Jesse and I will be parents in a few months.

Unfortunately Jesse had to stay behind this weekend but he enjoyed a great time at camp.  This weekend was couples retreat.  About 50 couples attended and Jesse was able to make a video for them as well.  Thanks everyone for your prayers as we continue serving Him!

Baby Update

Well I am 15 weeks along now and just wanted to give everyone a quick update.  I have been feeling much better now, thanks to all of you who suggested I take my prenatal vitamins at night instead.  I’m beginning to show now, but just a little and I am still in my regular clothes.  I am excited to be able to start wearing maternity clothes though since I was given so many cool outifts!

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and encouragement.  My next appointment is November 1st.  We’ll continue to keep you updated.
