50th Anniversary (Again) & Summer Staff
The previous post outlined what happened for our community open house that was held in honor of Camp's 50th Anniversary. This one is a little different!
Over Memorial Day Family Weekend we held another anniversary celebration. This time it was geared more for those that are familiar with the ministry of Camp Forest Springs. The whole weekend was designed to talk about God's faithfulness over the past 50 years of Camp's existence, and on Sunday afternoon we had somewhere around 500 people show up for a meeting and pig-roast dinner. At the meeting we showed two videos that I prepared. The first one was a basic introduction to Camp Forest Springs as well as a very brief synopsis of the past 50 years.

The second video was a compilation of letters and testimonies that campers and staff have submitted over the last several years. This was a fun piece to create because I was able to utilize a number of different staff members to help out with the narration. April is the second testimony reader!

Summer Staff
The second item that I wanted to update you about is that the summer staff began to arrive today! Some of the wilderness staff and summer leadership team have been here for a few days, but the majority of the rest of the staff arrived this afternoon. Since I needed to take a profile picture of each of them, I was able to greet nearly all of them soon after they arrived!
It is neat to imagine just how God might use these students in such different ways over the course of the summer. Please pray that they will be open to whatever He has for them.
